A super end to end match got the season off to a great start. Hampstead took the lead in the first half and was showing high intensity in their play. Camden weathered the early pressure to show class in the middle areas. A well-worked move down the left in the second half saw Florian cover the length of the pitch before sliding a perfect pass in for Sarib.
A cool head was required, he had one and slotted the ball into the corner. 1-1.
The game swung back and forth and the effort from both teams was to be admired. A scramble in the Hampstead box and the referee pointed to spot. Lucky there was no VAR on hand as it appeared a Tad Soft.
Up stepped Cool Head number 2, Jackson, drilled the ball home with the Keeper helpless.
Hampstead did not lie down and with minutes to spare their patience was rewarded with a scrambled equaliser. A draw seemed fair.
Stand out performances from Florian, Yoni, and the defensive pairing of Yonatan and Jacamo. Ossie when called upon made some super saves.
Everyone played their part in a highly enjoyable start to the season.
